Concrete Services for Schools & Universities
Facilities directors need a concrete company that plans around bells, buses and events. Golden Paw Concrete handles school concrete repair and new flatwork for public and private schools, colleges and universities across Indianapolis. Sidewalks heave. Ramps crack at the curb line. Bus loops take a beating from heavy buses every school day. We keep the scope clear and the work area safe while we are on site. Schools are one of the groups we serve; see them all on our Who We Serve page.

Campus Concrete Repair Built for Safe Walking
Thousands of steps cross a campus walk every day, many of them by kids who aren't watching their feet. A heaved panel or a crumbling ramp edge is more than a cosmetic problem. Indianapolis winters make it worse: freeze-thaw cycles lift slabs, and de-icing salt scales the surface. We look at the cause, whether that is tree roots, a downspout dumping water at the slab edge or a failing sub-base, so the fix lasts. For walks and ramps, a broom finish gives shoes something to grip in wet weather.
Summer-Break Scheduling Within the Pour Season
Summer break is the window most campuses want for concrete work. Students are gone, bus loops are empty and parking lots can close for a few days. It falls inside our March through November pour season. Planning early gives you more options. Winter is a good time for the consultation and written scope, so the work is approved and on the calendar before summer arrives. Our guide to the best time to pour concrete in Indiana covers the weather side.
How We Work With Facilities Teams
Each project starts with a free, in-person consultation on campus. Your written, itemized scope lists every repair by location, which makes it easier to route through purchasing or a board. We are insured. Invoice is one of the payment methods we accept, and standard terms are 50% at booking and 50% at completion, after a walkthrough with your facilities lead. If a permit is needed, we apply for it, and every job carries our 3-year workmanship warranty.
Questions & Answers
School and University FAQs
Have another question? Visit our FAQ page or call or text (317) 672-0966.
Can you work while school is in session?
Some jobs can. It depends on where the work is and how students move around it. We walk the site with you, talk through access and timing, and put the plan in writing. Work near main entries and bus loops usually makes more sense during a break.
Do you invoice schools and universities?
Yes. Invoice is one of our accepted payment methods, with 50% due at booking and 50% at completion. If your district or university has its own purchasing steps, raise them at the estimate so the paperwork matches.
Can you phase work across a campus or several buildings?
Yes. The written scope can break a campus into phases, starting with the worst trip hazards or the busiest entries. Several buildings can each get their own scope if that suits your budget process.
What concrete work do you do for campuses?
Sidewalks, ADA ramps, bus loops, parking areas, steps and playground pads, plus repairs and replacements. Towns and park departments can see our municipal concrete page.
